Automotive

Locally owned and operated, keeping vehicles running smoothly and safely.

Today Thursday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Book the shop

Tell us the vehicle and the week that suits.

Three fields and a send button. It lands in the shop inbox, so nobody is playing phone tag across a working day — and a job that would otherwise have gone somewhere else gets booked at nine at night.

Week that suits

No prices are shown anywhere in this concept. None is published, and a quoted figure that turned out to be wrong is worse for a shop than no figure at all.

The shop is busy. The website has been still since 2018.

The footer says 2018

Eight years is a long time for the one number on a page that tells a stranger whether a business is still going. It is also the first thing people check.

Nothing to do but read

There is no way to ask for a booking from the site. For a shop where the whole job is getting a vehicle in on a day that suits, that is the missing piece.

The email is on an internet provider

asauto@telus.net works fine, but it belongs to a phone company rather than to the business. If the account ever moves, the address goes with it — and it makes a twenty-year-old shop look newer than it is.

A shop that is full does not need a website to find work. It needs one so the work it does get is easier to book, and so somebody new can tell at a glance that the doors are open.

What would change, in order

1

Let people ask for a slot

A short form with the vehicle, the problem and a preferred week. Straight to the shop inbox, no phone tag.

2

Say what you actually do

The services people search for, in the words they search with, so the shop turns up when somebody types them.

3

Make the year look after itself

The footer updates on its own, so it never again says a year that has passed.

4

An address in your own name

Email at the business domain rather than at a phone company.
